Fragment I Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJJKCLMJ| In that fair capital where Pleasure crowned | A |
| Amidst her myriad courtiers riots and rules | B |
| I too have been a suitor Radiant eyes | C |
| Were my life's warmth and sunshine outspread arms | D |
| My gilded deep horizons I rejoiced | E |
| In yielding to all amorous influence | F |
| And multiple impulsion of the flesh | G |
| To feel within my being surge and sway | H |
| The force that all the stars acknowledge too | I |
| Amid the nebulous humanity | J |
| Where I an atom crawled and cleaved and sundered | J |
| I saw a million motions but one law | K |
| And from the city's splendor to my eyes | C |
| The vapors passed and there was nought but Love | L |
| A ferment turbulent intensely fair | M |
| Where Beauty beckoned and where Strength pursued | J |
