Genevieve Is A Summer's Day Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCC DDEE AAA FFGG HHH

She is the sunlit start of dayA
Bright as brightness strikes its wayA
Fresh within the fall of dewB
As the next day starts anewB
-
The waking sun is yawningC
Conceiving one more dawningC
Genevieve is the morningC
-
She is the warmth of noontide sunD
As the dayspring web is spunD
Sprinkling sparkling lucent glowE
Refulgent there at foreday's showE
-
A petaled sweet bouquetA
A roseate bathed displayA
Genevieve is the new dayA
-
She is the mystery of the eveF
As slowly daytime takes its leaveF
A portrait of the deepest nightG
A graceful bluebird poised in flightG
-
As shadowed shades ascendH
And in the darkness blendH
Genevieve is the daytime's endH
