With teardrops falling from the sky | B |
As life becomes slow | C |
She tries to forget those lies | D |
She looks at that sunflower | E |
It s ever so bright | F |
And even though it s cheerful through the day | G |
It closes its petals at night | F |
Its stalk is thin | H |
But it looks so sleek | I |
It sprouts its head up in the air | J |
And it looks at her with a fixed glare | J |
The flower is a burnt orange colour | J |
And it s not afraid to stand tall | K |
Yet when you look at it | L |
It s seems like it s about to fall | K |
But the wind cares for none | M |
No one at all | K |
For as hard as the flower tries | D |
It isn t able to stand tall | K |
The wreathing winds make way | G |
Leaving the flower fighting for life | N |
The wind isn t merciful | O |
And eventually the flower dies | D |
It s mysterious | P |
That although the flower could have quit it still went on | Q |
For life is about feeling the pain | R |
And having the courage to fight on | Q |
It s sad for the flower tried all it could | S |
Yet the wind tore it apart | T |
Several things died with that flower | J |
But what perished most was that young and brave heart | T |
