I Miss School Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD CAEC FFGH IIJJ

I miss the sound of the morning bellA
The way it rang out clear and swellA
And called us all to class with cheerB
To learn and grow year after yearB
-
I miss the way the hallways bustledC
With students rushing chatting and hustledC
To get to class on time with gleeD
And to learn the things they needed to seeD
-
I miss the way the classrooms smelledC
Of chalk and books and stories we'd tellA
And the way the teachers would guide usE
Through the lessons we needed to trustC
-
But most of all I miss my friendsF
And the way we'd laugh and play till the day endsF
And the way we'd learn from each otherG
And grow together like sisters and brothersH
-
So here's to the days when we'll returnI
To the school we love and the lessons we'll learnI
And to the friends we'll see once moreJ
And the memories we'll make forevermoreJ
