Independence Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRS

She was torn awayA
That night on the Atlantic oceanB
By the big ship of the slave huntersC
A long way from her home AfricaD
She loves to sing spiritual hymnsE
And now she is refusing to sing itF
Iron bars on her neck mucus in her throatG
A heavy blow coming on her from behindH
She is not afraid of death any more againI
She is sold but She feel she is not aloneJ
And a deep cry welling down her heartK
She is expecting something from GodL
And that's the freedom of her peoplesM
Desperately finding hope in the futureN
In the shadowy and darkest of the placesO
Today's independence when africans were freedP
Today was when Mother brought us freedomQ
Today we can decide to make the world freeR
Committing to end human trading and slave businessS
