The Seventh Day Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJJKLMIINOPQ

Forget not the day of the SabbathA
Its mention is like a pleasant offeringB
During it the dove found resting placeC
And there the weary may relaxD
The day is honored by the Children of FaithE
Careful to observe it are fathers and sonsF
Engraved upon two tablets of stoneG
From great power and mighty strengthH
And they all came in Covenant togetherI
In unison they said We shall do and we shall listenJ
And they commenced and answered God is OneJ
Blessed is He that gives strength to the wearyK
He spoke in His holiness by the mountain of Mohr spiceL
Remember and guard the seventh dayM
And all of his commandments to be completed togetherI
Strengthen the loins and gather up powerI
The nation that is in motion like lost sheepN
By covenant He will remember to recall itO
So that an evil happening may not befall themP
Just as You have sworn by the waters of NoahQ
