Yad Mordechai Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGH IHH I

Yad Mordechai Those who fell hereA
still look out the windows like sick childrenB
who are not allowed outside to playC
And on the hillside the battle is reenactedD
for the benefit of hikers and tourists Soldiers of thin sheet ironE
rise and fall and rise again Sheet iron dead and a sheet iron lifeF
and the voices all mdash sheet iron And the resurrection of the deadG
sheet iron that clangs and clangsH
-
And I said to myself Everyone is attached to his own lamentI
as to a parachute Slowly he descends and slowly hoversH
until he touches the hard placeH
