When you put a pen to paper	A
You're reaching out	B
Deep into you're mind	C
You're reaching out	B
For that inspiration	D

That never comes	E
So you put down your pen onto the paper	A
Reaching out into your mind	C
Just waiting	F
And waiting	F
For that special inspiration to hit	G

It doesn't answer	A
Your desperate call	H
You pick up the pen	I
And place it once more	J
On the paper	A

Hoping	F
Just hoping	F
For that rare and special inspiration to hit	G
The tiniest of whispers	K
That are supposed to take hold	L

To circle in your head	M
Like a toy train	N
On its little train tracks	O
And on its even tinier wheels	P
But the train of thought never comes	E

You put down the pen	I
In frustration	D
When a whisper of a whisper	A
Steals into your mind	C
Like a thief	Q

It grows and grows like wildfire	A
Burning everything in its path	R
To make its way to the front	S
Of your mind	C
That special inspiration	D

That you waited and waited for	J
Has arrived	T
When it reached its destination	D
You just want to jump out of your chair	U
And yell Eureka	V

So once more you that pen to paper	A
But ink doesn't come out	B
That rare and special inspiration pours out instead	M
The paper and the pen are the same	W
Only you have changed	X
