The simplest part of the day
Is saying 'I do'
Two tiny words
Three tinier letters
But there is nothing straightforward about what remains unsaid
I do means
I do love you with all my heart
I do means
I do know I could get hurt but I am ready to be healed with you
I do means
I do accept you, the whole you
The newlyweds danced and laughed knowing that
Whatever happens, they will be together forever
