| The naughty boys and girls march endlessly | C |

| The sun never shone on the children of naughtiness | D |
| Enduring the blinding pain | E |
| A smile never touching their lips | D |
| They knew | F |
| Deep down they knew they would never get rescued | G |
| And they would never heal | H |
