On Christmas Eve Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAABB CDCC DD

In byre and barn the mows are brim with sheavesA
Where stealeth in with phosphorescent treadB
The glimmering moon and neath his wattled eavesA
The kennelled hound unto the darkness grievesA
His chilly straw and from his gloom lit shedB
The wakeful cock proclaims the midnight dreadB
-
With mullioned windows mid its skeleton treesC
Beneath the moon the ancient manor standsD
Old gables rattle in the midnight breezeC
Old elms make answer to the moaning seasC
-
Beyond the moorlands on the wintry sandsD
While drives the gust along the leafless landsD
