Indian Summer Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEAE FGHG

Along the line of smoky hillsA
The crimson forest standsB
And all the day the blue jay callsC
Throughout the autumn landsB
-
Now by the brook the maple leansD
With all his glory spreadE
And all the sumachs on the hillsA
Have turned their green to redE
-
Now by great marshes wrapt in mistF
Or past some river's mouthG
Throughout the long still autumn dayH
Wild birds are flying southG
