In My Study, Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDB EEFG GF HHI AAI

Out over my studyA
All ashen and ruddyA
Sinks the December sunB
And high up overC
The chimney s soot coveD
The winter night wind has begunB
-
Here in the red embersE
I dream old DecembersE
Until the low moan of the blastF
Like a voice out of Ghost landG
-
-
Or memory s lost landG
Seems to conjure up wraiths of the pastF
-
Then into the roomH
Through the firelight and gloomH
Some one steals let the night wind grow bleakI
-
-
And ever so coldlyA
Two white arms enfold meA
And a sweet face is close to my cheekI
