Loch Ness Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCCDDEBBBBBBFGGE EGDDHHII

Beautiful Loch NessA
The truth to expressA
Your landscapes are lovely and gayB
Along each side of your waters to Fort Augustus all the wayB
Your scenery is romanticC
With rocks and hills giganticC
Enough to make one franticC
As they view thy beautiful heathery hillsD
And their clear crystal rillsD
And the beautiful woodlands so greenE
On a fine summer dayB
From Inverneaa all the wayB
Where the deer and the doe together doth playB
And the beautiful Falls of Foyers with its cystal sprayB
As clear as the dayB
Enchanting and gayB
To the traveller as he gazes thereonF
That he feels amazed with delightG
To see the water falling from such a heightG
That his heed feels giddy with the sceneE
As he views the Falls of Foyers and the woodlands so greenE
That he exclaims in an ecstasy of delightG
Oh beautiful Loch NessD
I must sincerely confessD
That you are the most beautiful to beholdH
With your lovely landscapes and water so coldH
And as he turns from the scene he says with a sighI
Oh beautiful Loch Ness I must bid you good byeI
