Beautiful Rothesay your scenery is most grandA
You cannot be surpassed in fair ScotlandB
Tis healthy for holiday makers to go thereC
For the benefit of their health by inhaling the pure airC
-
And to hear the innocent birds on a fine Summer dayD
Carolling their sweet songs so lively and gayD
Therefore holiday makers be advised by meE
And visit beautiful Rothesay by the side of the SeaE
-
Then sweet Jessie let us goF
To Scotland's garden of Eden OF
And spend the lovely Summer dayD
In the beautiful village of RothesayE
-
There you can see the ships passing to and froF
Which will drive away dull care and woeF
And the heavens breath smells wooingly thereC
Therefore let's away dear Jessie to inhale the balmy airC
-
The mansions there are most beautiful to be seenG
Likewise the trees and shrubberies greenG
Therefore we will feel happy and gayD
Walking hand in hand together the live long dayD
-
Along the beautiful walks with our hearts fu' cheerieC
My dear love Until we grow wearyC
Then return home at night with our spirits light and gayD
After viewing the beautiful scenery of RothesayE
