Baldovan Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB ADAD EFAF GHIH JHFH

The scenery of BaldovanA
Is most lovely to seeB
Near by Dighty WaterC
Not far from DundeeB
-
'Tis health for any oneA
To be walking thereD
O'er the green swards of BaldovanA
And in the forests fairD
-
There the blackbird and the mavisE
Together merrily do singF
In the forest of BaldovanA
Making the woodlands to ringF
-
'Tis delightful to hear themG
On a fine summer dayH
Carolling their cheerful notesI
So blythe and so gayH
-
Then there's the little loch near byJ
Whereon can be seen every dayH
Numerous wild ducks swimmingF
And quacking in their innocent playH
