Welcome sweet Christmas blest be the mornA
That Christ our Saviour was bornA
Earth's Redeemer to save us from all dangerB
And as the Holy Record tells born in a mangerB
-
ChorusC
-
Then ring ring Christmas bellsD
Till your sweet music o'er the kingdom swellsD
To warn the people to respect the mornA
That Christ their Saviour was bornA
-
The snow was on the ground when Christ was bornA
And the Virgin Mary His mother felt very forlornA
As she lay in a horse's stall at a roadside innE
Till Christ our Saviour was born to free us from sinE
-
Oh think of the Virgin Mary as she layF
In a lowly stable on a bed of hayF
And angels watching O'er her till Christ was bornA
Therefore all the people should respect Christmas mornA
-
The way to respect Christmas timeG
Is not by drinking whisky or wineH
But to sing praises to God on Christmas mornA
The time that Jesus Christ His Son was bornA
-
Whom He sent into the world to save sinners from hellI
And by believing in Him in heaven we'll dwellI
Then blest be the morn that Christ was bornA
Who can save us from hell death and scornA
-
Then he warned and respect the Saviour dearJ
And treat with less respect the New YearJ
And respect always the blessed mornA
That Christ our Saviour was bornA
-
For each new morn to the Christian is dearJ
As well as the morn of the New YearJ
And he thanks God for the light of each new mornA
Especially the morn that Christ was bornA
-
Therefore good people be warned in timeG
And on Christmas morn don't get drunk with wineH
But praise God above on Christmas mornA
Who sent His Son to save us from hell and scornA
-
There the heavenly babe He layF
In a stall among a lot of hayF
While the Angel Host by BethlehemK
Sang a beautiful and heavenly anthemL
-
Christmas time ought to be held most dearJ
Much more so than the New YearJ
Because that's the time that Christ was bornA
Therefore respect Christmas mornA
-
And let the rich be kind to the poorM
And think of the hardships they do endureN
Who are neither clothed nor fedO
And Many without a blanket to their bedO
