The Shearer's Cook Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDEF GGHHIIDEF JJEEEEEEE

Now shearers' cooks as shearers knowA
Are very seldom wont to blowA
But when I took to dabbing tarB
And picking up on BlaringarB
The cook when barbers came at mornC
To get a snack would say with scornC
Tea on the leftD
Coffee on the rightE
Brownie on the bunk and blast yezF
-
The bunk or slab was in the hutG
And on it brownie ready cutG
Two buckets o'er the fire would beH
One filled with coffee one with teaH
And when the chaps came filing inI
The cook would say with mirthless grinI
Tea on the leftD
Coffee on the rightE
Brownie on the bunk and blast yezF
-
Peculiar man this shearers' cookJ
And had a very ugly lookJ
To me a new chum rouseaboutE
Said he one day when all were outE
There's nothing in this world my ladE
That's worth your worry good or badE
Grief on the leftE
Sorrow on the rightE
Trouble on the bunk but blast itE
