You talk of snakes said Jack the RatA
But blow me one hot summerB
I seen a thing that knocked me flatA
Fourteen foot long or more than thatA
It was a reg'lar hummerB
Lay right along a sort of bogC
Just like a logD
-
The ugly thing was lyin' thereE
And not a sign o' movin'F
Give any man a nasty scareE
Seen nothin' like it anywhereE
Since I first started drovin'F
And yet it didn't scare my dogD
Looked like a logD
-
I had to cross that bog yer seeG
And bluey I was humpin'F
But wonderin' what that thing could beG
A lyin' there in front o' meG
I didn't feel like jumpin'F
Yet though I shivered like a frogC
It seemed a logD
-
I takes a leap and lands right onF
The back of that there whopperB
He stopped We waited Then Big MacH
Remarked Well then what happened JackH
Not much said Jack and drained his grogC
It was a logD
