Returned To Say Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGH CHCH IJKH L

When I face north a lost CreeA
on some new shore puts a moccasin downB
rock in the light and noon for seeingC
he in a hurry and I beside himD
-
It will be a long trip he will be a new chiefE
we have drunk new water from an unnamed streamF
under little dark trees he is to find a pathG
we both must travel because we have metH
-
Henceforth we gesture even by waitingC
there is a grain of sand on his knifebladeH
so small he blows it and while his breathingC
darkens the steel his become setH
-
And start a new vision the rest of his lifeI
We will mean what he does Back of this pageJ
the path turns north We are looking for a signK
Our moccasins do not mark the groundH
