Remembering Mountain Men Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHA

I put my foot in cold waterA
and hold it there early morningsB
they had to wade through broken iceC
to find the traps in the deep channelD
with their hands drag up the chains andE
the drowned beaver The slow currentF
of the life below tugs at me all dayG
When I dream at night they save a place for meH
no matter how small somewhere by the fireA
