Rhyme Scheme: ABCDE FGHG IJKLM NGOPQ RSTQU

Aristotle was a little man withA
eyes like a lizard and he found a streakB
down the midst of things a smooth place for his feetC
much more important than the carved handlesD
on the coffins of the greatE
-
-
He said you should put your hand outF
at the time and place of needG
strength matters little he saidH
nor even speedG
-
-
His pupil a king's son diedI
at an early age That Aristotle spoke of himJ
it is impossible to find the youth wasK
notorious a conqueror a kid with a gangL
but even this Aristotle didn't ever sayM
-
-
Around the farthest forest and alongN
all the bed of the sea Aristotle studiedG
immediate local ways Many of whichO
were wrong So he studied poetryP
There in pity and fear he found ManQ

-
Many thinkers today who stand low and grinR
have little use for anger or power its palaceS
or its prisonT
but quite a bit for that little manQ
with eyes like a lizardU
