| elves goblins trolls and spiders we | G |
| encounter them in dread and wonder | H |

| But once we have tasted far streams touched the gold | I |
| found some limit beyond the waterfall | J |
| a season changes and we come back changed | K |
| but safe quiet grateful | L |

| Suppose an insane wind holds all the hills | M |
| while strange beliefs whine at the traveler's ears | N |
| we ordinary beings can cling to the earth and love | O |
| where we are sturdy for common things | C |
