Song Xiii. - Winter Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDC CBCB CECE

No more ye warbling birds rejoiceA
Of all that cheer'd the plainB
Echo alone preserves her voiceA
And she repeats my painB
-
Where'er my lovesick limbs I layC
To shun the rushing windD
Its busy murmurs seem to sayC
'She never will be kind '-
-
The Naiads o'er their frozen urnsC
In icy chains repineB
And each in sullen silence mournsC
Her freedom lost like mineB
-
Soon will the sun's returning raysC
The cheerless frost controlE
When will relenting Delia chaseC
The winter of my soulE
