One Against The World Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: AABCCBDEFGGF GHFGHF IIJKKJJJLJJL MNFMKFIt's my opinion though I own | A |
In thinking so I'm quite alone | A |
In some respects I'm but a fright | B |
YOU like my features I suppose | C |
I'M disappointed with my nose | C |
Some rave about it perhaps they're right | B |
My figure just sets off a fit | D |
But when they say it's exquisite | E |
And they DO say so that's too strong | F |
I hope I'm not what people call | G |
Opinionated After all | G |
I'm but a goose and may be wrong | F |
- | |
When charms enthral | G |
There's some excuse | H |
For measures strong | F |
And after all | G |
I'm but a goose | H |
And may be wrong | F |
- | |
My teeth are very neat no doubt | I |
But after all they MAY fall out | I |
I think they will some think they won't | J |
My hands are small as you may see | K |
But not as small as they might be | K |
At least I think so others don't | J |
But there a girl may preach and prate | J |
From morning six to evening eight | J |
And never stop to dine | L |
When all the world although misled | J |
Is quite agreed on any head | J |
And it is quite agreed on mine | L |
- | |
All said and done | M |
It's little I | N |
Against a throng | F |
I'm only one | M |
And possibly | K |
I may be wrong | F |
