Path Of Life. (from The Villager's Verse-book.) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEG

O Lord in sickness and in healthA
To every lot resignedB
Grant me before all worldly wealthA
A meek and thankful mindB
-
As life thy upland path we treadC
And often pause in vainD
To think of friends and parents deadC
Oh let us not complainD
-
The Lord may give or take awayE
But nought our faith can moveF
Whilst we to heaven can look and sayE
Our Father lives aboveG
