Spring Bereaved 3 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABACDADAAA

ALEXIS here she stay'd among these pinesA
Sweet hermitress she did alone repairB
Here did she spread the treasure of her hairB
More rich than that brought from the Colchian minesA
She set her by these musked eglantinesA
The happy place the print seems yet to bearB
Her voice did sweeten here thy sugar'd linesA
To which winds trees beasts birds did lend their earC
Me here she first perceived and here a mornD
Of bright carnations did o'erspread her faceA
Here did she sigh here first my hopes were bornD
And I first got a pledge of promised graceA
nbsp nbsp nbsp But ah what served it to be happy soA
nbsp nbsp nbsp Sith passed pleasures double but new woeA
