The Crazy World Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB ACAC DEDF GHGH IGIG JKLK DEDF

THE WORLD did say to meA
My bread thou shalt not eatB
I have no place for theeA
In house nor field nor streetB
-
I have on land nor seaA
For thee nor home nor breadC
I scarce can give to theeA
A grave when thou art deadC
-
O crazy World said ID
What is it thou canst giveE
Which wanting I must dieD
Or having I shall liveF
-
When thou thy all hast spentG
And all thy harvests ceaseH
I still have nutrimentG
That groweth by decreaseH
-
Thy streets will pass awayI
Thy towers of steel be rustG
Thy heights to plains decayI
Thyself be wandering dustG
-
But I go ever onJ
From prime to endless primeK
I sit on Being s throneL
A lord o er space and timeK
-
Then crazy World said ID
What is it thou canst giveE
Which wanting I must dieD
Or having I shall liveF
