Australia Infelix Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCEDE| HOW long O Lord shall this my country be | A |
| A nation of the dead How long shall they | B |
| Who seek their own and live but for the day | B |
| My country hinder from her destiny | A |
| Around me Lord I seem again to see | A |
| That ancient valley where the dry bones lay | B |
| And tis in vain that long I wait and pray | B |
| To see them rise to men resolved and free | A |
| Yet sure O Lord upon this land of death | C |
| At last Thy Spirit will descend with power | D |
| And Thou wilt kindle patriots with Thy breath | C |
| Who venturing all to win their country s good | E |
| Shall toil and suffer for the sacred hour | D |
| That brings the fullness of her nationhood | E |
