The Stream Of Life Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEBE FGHGIJKJ

Oh silvery streamlet of the fieldsA
That flowest full and freeB
For thee the rains of spring returnC
The summer dews for theeB
And when thy latest blossoms dieD
In autumn's chilly showersE
The winter fountains gush for theeB
Till May brings back the flowersE
-
Oh Stream of Life the violet springsF
But once beside thy bedG
But one brief summer on thy pathH
The dews of heaven are shedG
Thy parent fountains shrink awayI
And close their crystal veinsJ
And where thy glittering current flowedK
The dust alone remainsJ
