November: A Sonnet Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFBB

Yet one smile more departing distant sunA
One mellow smile through the soft vapoury airB
Ere o'er the frozen earth the loud winds runA
Or snows are sifted o'er the meadows bareB
One smile on the brown hills and naked treesC
And the dark rocks whose summer wreaths are castD
And the blue gentian flower that in the breezeC
Nods lonely of her beauteous race the lastD
Yet a few sunny days in which the beeE
Shall murmur by the hedge that skirts the wayF
The cricket chirp upon the russet leaE
And man delight to linger in thy rayF
Yet one rich smile and we will try to bearB
The piercing winter frost and winds and darkened airB
