March Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

The stormy March is come at lastA
With wind and cloud and changing skiesB
I hear the rushing of the blastA
That through the snowy valley fliesB
-
Ah passing few are they who speakC
Wild stormy month in praise of theeD
Yet though thy winds are loud and bleakC
Thou art a welcome month to meD
-
For thou to northern lands againE
The glad and glorious sun dost bringF
And thou hast joined the gentle trainG
And wear'st the gentle name of SpringF
-
And in thy reign of blast and stormH
Smiles many a long bright sunny dayI
When the changed winds are soft and warmH
And heaven puts on the blue of MayI
-
Then sing aloud the gushing rillsB
And the full springs from frost set freeD
That brightly leaping down the hillsB
Are just set out to meet the seaD
-
The year's departing beauty hidesB
Of wintry storms the sullen threatJ
But in thy sternest frown abidesB
A look of kindly promise yetJ
-
Thou bring'st the hope of those calm skiesB
And that soft time of sunny showersB
When the wide bloom on earth that liesB
Seems of a brighter world than oursB
