Earth's Children Cleave To Earth. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDDDDDECECFGFG

Earth's children cleave to Earth her frailA
Decaying children dread decayB
Yon wreath of mist that leaves the valeA
And lessens in the morning rayB
Look how by mountain rivuletC
It lingers as it upward creepsD
And clings to fern and copsewood setC
Along the green and dewy steepsD
Clings to the fragrant kalmia clingsD
To precipices fringed with grassD
Dark maples where the wood thrush singsD
And bowers of fragrant sassafrasD
Yet all in vain it passes stillE
From hold to hold it cannot stayC
And in the very beams that fillE
The world with glory wastes awayC
Till parting from the mountain's browF
It vanishes from human eyeG
And that which sprung of earth is nowF
A portion of the glorious skyG
