Words Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFEG HIHI JKJL

I had this thought a while agoA
'My darling cannot understandB
What I have done or what would doC
In this blind bitter land 'D
-
And I grew weary of the sunE
Until my thoughts cleared up againF
Remembering that the best I have doneE
Was done to make it plainG
-
That every year I have cried 'At lengthH
My darling understands it allI
Because I have come into my strengthH
And words obey my call'I
-
That had she done so who can sayJ
What would have shaken from the sieveK
I might have thrown poor words awayJ
And been content to liveL
