The Lover Asks Forgiveness Because Of His Many Moods Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGHGHIJIJ KBKB

If this importunate heart trouble your peaceA
With words lighter than airB
Or hopes that in mere hoping flicker and ceaseA
Crumple the rose in your hairB
And cover your lips with odorous twilight and sayC
'O Hearts of wind blown flameD
O Winds older than changing of night and dayC
That murmuring and longing cameD
From marble cities loud with tabors of oldE
In dove grey faery landsF
From battle banners fold upon purple foldE
Queens wrought with glimmering handsF
That saw young Niamh hover with love lorn faceG
Above the wandering tideH
And lingered in the hidden desolate placeG
Where the last Phoenix diedH
And wrapped the flames above his holy headI
And still murmur and longJ
O piteous Hearts changing till change be deadI
In a tumultuous song'J
And cover the pale blossoms of your breastK
With your dim heavy hairB
And trouble with a sigh for all things longing for restK
The odorous twilight thereB
