Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDB EFCFGH

Here is fresh matter poetA
Matter for old age meetB
Might of the Church and the StateC
Their mobs put under their feetB
O but heart's wine shall run pureD
Mind's bread grow sweetB
-
That were a cowardly songE
Wander in dreams no moreF
What if the Church and the StateC
Are the mob that howls at the doorF
Wine shall run thick to the endG
Bread taste sourH
