The Dream Of A Boy Who Lived At Nine-elms Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFFGH

Nine grenadiers with bayonets in their gunsA
Nine bakers' baskets with hot cross bunsA
Nine brown elephants standing in a rowB
Nine new velocipedes good ones to goB
Nine knickerbocker suits with buttons all completeC
Nine pairs of skates with straps for the feetC
Nine clever conjurors eating hot coalsD
Nine sturdy mountaineers leaping on their polesD
Nine little drummer boys beating on their drumsE
Nine fat aldermen sitting on their thumbsE
Nine new knockers to our front doorF
Nine new neighbours that I never saw beforeF
Nine times running I dreamt it all plainG
With bread and cheese for supper I could dream it all againH
