I Saw A New World Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEFF GGBB HHBB IIJJ KLGG MMNNOO

I SAW a new world in my dreamA
Where all the folks alike did seemA
There was no Child there was no MotherB
There was no Change there was no OtherB
-
For everything was Same the SameC
There was no praise there was no blameC
There was neither Need nor Help for itD
There was nothing fitting or unfitD
-
Nobody laugh d nobody weptE
None grew weary so none sleptE
There was nobody born and nobody wedF
This world was a world of the living deadF
-
I long d to hear the Time Clock strikeG
In the world where people were all alikeG
I hated Same I hated ForeverB
I long d to say Neither or even NeverB
-
I long d to mend I long d to makeH
I long d to give I long d to takeH
I long d for a change whatever came afterB
I long d for crying I long d for laughterB
-
At last I heard the Time Clock boomI
And woke from my dream in my little roomI
With a smile on her lips my Mother was nighJ
And I heard the Baby crow and cryJ
-
And I thought to myself How nice it isK
For me to live in a world like thisL
Where things can happen and clocks can strikeG
And none of the people are made alikeG
-
Where Love wants this and Pain wants thatM
Where all our hearts want Tit for TatM
In the jumbles we make with our heads and our handsN
In a world that nobody understandsN
But with work and hope and the right to callO
Upon Him who sees it and knows us allO
