Autumnal Sonnet Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCABABDAADAD

Now Autumn's fire burns slowly along the woodsA
And day by day the dead leaves fall and meltB
And night by night the monitory blastC
Wails in the key hold telling how it pass'dC
O'er empty fields or upland solitudesA
Or grim wide wave and now the power is feltB
Of melancholy tenderer in its moodsA
Than any joy indulgent summer dealtB
Dear friends together in the glimmering eveD
Pensive and glad with tones that recogniseA
The soft invisible dew in each one's eyesA
It may be somewhat thus we shall have leaveD
To walk with memory when distant liesA
Poor Earth where we were wont to live and grieveD
