A Seed Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBCCDDEEDDFFGG

See how a Seed which Autumn flung downA
And through the Winter neglected layB
Uncoils two little green leaves and two brownA
With tiny root taking hold on the clayB
As lifting and strengthening day by dayB
It pushes red branchless sprouts new leavesC
And cell after cell the Power in it weavesC
Out of the storehouse of soil and climeD
To fashion a Tree in due course of timeD
Tree with rough bark and boughs' expansionE
Where the Crow can build his mansionE
Or a Man in some new MayD
Lie under whispering leaves and sayD
Are the ills of one's life so very badF
When a Green Tree makes me deliciously gladF
As I do now But where shall I beG
When this little Seed is a tall green TreeG
