Knoll thrusts his spade and doing soD
Attacks the creature from belowD

Und mit Hurra in einem BogenE
Wird er herauf ans Licht gezogenE

Hoorah And in a graceful arcF
The mole emerges from the darkF

-
Aujau Man setzt sich in den RechenE
Voll spitzer Stacheln welche stechenE

Ow yow The rake a prickly thingG
When sat upon is known to stingG

-
-
Und Knoll zieht f r den AugenblickG
Sich schmerzlich in sich selbst zur ckG
-
Knoll in the face of perforationE
Withdraws in painful contemplationE

Schon hat der Maulwurf sich derweilD

Doch Knoll der sich emporgerafftB
