Wings Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDCD ECEFCF

As a blue necked mallard alighting in a poolA
Among marsh marigolds and splashing wetB
Green leaves and yellow blooms like jewels setB
In bright black mud with clear drops crystal coolA
Bringing keen savours of the sea and stirC
Of windy spaces where wild sunsets flameD
To that dark inland dyke the thought of herC
Into my brooding stagnant being cameD
-
And all my senses quickened into lifeE
Tingling and glittering and the salt and fireC
Sang through my singing blood in eager strifeE
Until through crystal airs we seemed to beF
Soaring together one fleet winged desireC
Of windy sunsets and the wandering seaF
