Sea-change Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDCCDD| Wind flicked and ruddy her young body glowed | A |
| In sunny shallows splashing them to spray | B |
| But when on rippled silver sand she lay | B |
| And over her the little green waves flowed | A |
| Coldly translucent and moon coloured showed | A |
| Her frail young beauty as if rapt away | B |
| From all the light and laughter of the day | B |
| To some twilit forlorn sea god's abode | A |
| - | |
| Again into the sun with happy cry | C |
| She leapt alive and sparkling from the sea | D |
| Sprinkling white spray against the hot blue sky | C |
| A laughing girl and yet I see her lie | C |
| Under a deeper tide eternally | D |
| In cold moon coloured immortality | D |
