A New Pilgrimage: Sonnet Xxxii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBABBCBDEFF

To day I was at Milan in such thoughtA
As pilgrims bring who at faith's threshold standB
Still burdened with the sorrows they have broughtA
And vexed with stranger tongues in a strange landB
And lo this sign was given me At my handB
Hung that mysterious supper Vinci wroughtA
With the sad twelve who were Christ's chosen bandB
A type of vows and courage come to noughtB
And while I gazed with a reproachful lookC
The bread was broken and the wine was pouredB
And the disciples raised their hands and spokeD
Each asking Is it I and I too Lord ''E
And there was answered them this mournful cryF
All shall abandon me to night '' So IF
