Why, Why Repine Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEG

Why why repine my pensive friendA
At pleasures slipp'd awayB
Some the stern Fates will never lendA
And all refuse to stayB
-
I see the rainbow in the skyC
The dew upon the grassD
I see them and I ask not whyC
They glimmer or they passD
-
With folded arms I linger notE
To call them back 'twere vainF
In this or in some other spotE
I know they'll shine againG
