Autumn Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD

MILD is the parting year and sweetA
nbsp nbsp nbsp The odour of the falling sprayB
Life passes on more rudely fleetA
nbsp nbsp nbsp And balmless is its closing dayB
-
I wait its close I court its gloomC
nbsp nbsp nbsp But mourn that never must there fallD
Or on my breast or on my tombC
nbsp nbsp nbsp The tear that would have soothed it allD
