Rhyme Scheme: ABABB CDCDD EFEFC

She had amid her ringlets boundA
Green leaves to rival their dark hueB
How could such locks with beauty boundA
Dry up their dewB
Wither them through and throughB
-
She had within her dark eyes litC
Sweet fires to burn all doubt awayD
Yet did those fires in darkness litC
Burn but a dayD
Not even till twilight stayD
-
She had within a dusk of wordsE
A vow in simple splendour setF
How in the memory of such wordsE
Could she forgetF
That vow the soul of itC
