To My Mother Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC DDEEFF GGHHEE

Thine is my all how little when 'tis toldA
Beside thy goldA
Thine the first peace and mine the livelong strifeB
Thine the clear dawn and mine the night of lifeB
Thine the unstained beliefC
Darkened in griefC
-
Scarce even a flower but thine its beauty and nameD
Dimmed yet the sameD
Never in twilight comes the moon to meE
Stealing thro' those far woods but tells of theeE
Falls dear on my wild heartF
And takes thy partF
-
Thou art the child and I how steeped in ageG
A blotted pageG
From that clear little book life's taken awayH
How could I read it dear so dark the dayH
Be it all memoryE
'Twixt thee and meE
