There Blooms No Bud In May Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFGF BHBH IJIJ

There blooms no bud in MayA
Can for its white compareB
With snow at break of dayA
On fields forlorn and bareB
-
For shadow it hath roseC
Azure and amethystD
And every air that blowsC
Dies out in beauteous mistD
-
It hangs the frozen boughE
With flowers on which the nightF
Wheeling her darkness throughG
Scatters a starry lightF
-
Fearful of its pale glareB
In flocks the starlings riseH
Slide through the frosty airB
And perch with plaintive criesH
-
Only the inky rookI
Hunched cold in ruffled wingsJ
Its snowy nest forsookI
Caws of unnumbered SpringsJ
