The Sunken Garden Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBBBAA AACCDDEEAAAA

Speak not whisper notA
Here bloweth thyme and bergamotA
Softly on the evening hourB
Secret herbs their spices showerB
Dark spiked rosemary and myrrhB
Lean stalked purple lavenderB
Hides within her bosom tooA
All her sorrows bitter rueA
-
Breathe not trespass notA
Of this green and darkling spotA
Latticed from the moon's beamsC
Perchance a distant dreamer dreamsC
Perchance upon its darkening airD
The unseen ghosts of children fareD
Faintly swinging sway and sweepE
Like lovely sea flowers in its deepE
While unmoved to watch and wardA
'Mid its gloomed and daisied swardA
Stands with bowed and dewy headA
That one little leaden LadA
